Ooh, thank you very much for providing these raws. Also, please, inform TDX about misprints in chapter 199 like "Asakaze ni" instead "Akikaze ni". Maybe she will sight it, but inform her is better. Also, Chilaya playing baseball:

So nice to see you in here again iatheia and crimson_angel. Aww Sou is denying it but he do see Taichi as his student and probably feel bad for not teaching properly or told him an important lesson. So he think that Taichi will lose but it's not because of Taichi but because of him. marisaWow! That Chihaya poster is really nice. She look so beautiful in that poster... her cap reminds me of Ash from Pokemon though. lol

If it helps, I did email TDX on the old address they provided last year about the raws... pretty sure they haven't seen it, haven't replied, and haven't downloaded the files, so as usual in trying to communicate with them I am at a loss.

Hi, guys! Just wanted to say thank you for creating this thread! I already thought MAL is dead foreverT_T. I 'm not posting lately, but always enjoy your posts! Many thanks!
Ravenanne! Missed you a lot, glad that you still here with us!)))))
So,how do you guys think, could Suetsugu-san possibly leave Taichi without supermega happyending after such a results in the poll? I also think she better fix Chihaya soon, poor girl lost awfully -and that was expected as for me cos her character development was droped again((((

Randomanon, we also have been asking ourselves about the Chiha card...........i wonder if we will see it in these matches and what is going on with that card. Somehow personally i have a feeling that is has to do with Chihaya's maturing. The Chiha card disappeared when Taichi left......i wonder which occasion it will reappear...
Iatheia, I also tried to contact TDX on her MAL profile, but no reaction for now....so i guess we'll just have to wait....it sure is hard to wait till the next volume comes out.
Stilldoll chan!!!! you are here as well!!! So happy you found us!

Wow! Thanks iatheia chan for the brief summary of chapter 200... I never thought Suo has that kind of feeling towards accepting himself as Taichi's "Teacher" in karuta.
It will be a big twist if Taichi beats Arata and be the next contender for the Meijin Title... I guess I want him to win even at the expense of having his chance in the love dept decline... I don't think he can have both worlds... I just hope most of the Chihachi accepts that scenario though 😅
Aww... Still doll chan!!!! I also miss you guys!!! Though silently lurking and reading Taichi's fans wonderful posts in MF and MAL made me a contented happy fellow Taichi and TAT fan.
Also looking forward for TDX to pop in...
*whispers*...Kat chan and the rest... where are you?

I was always the one who wanted chihaichi over everything else, meijin title included, but after seeing Arata so overly sure that he will win and thinking so lowly of Taichi in both terms karuta and Chihaya's feelings, so i badly want Taichi to win this match and show that guy that he is not a god and not the only one who deserves that title and Chihaya's love! So now i am in a greedy league and want Taichi to win both: a match vs Arata and Chihaya's love B))))))

marisa – Oooh! Nice catch! I didn’t think of the one syllable aspect. Thanks for pointing it out. It could be like a challenge too. Taichi and Chihaya have always spurred each other on. Also thank you for the lovely lovely baseball picture! virane – I think the main problem is Taichi got far more development than the two other main characters (both emotionally and in karuta). That’s why it’s easier being pumped up about a Taichi – Suou match or a Taichi Chihaya romance vs. a Arata-Suou match or Arata-Chihaya romance. iatheia : Thanks soo much for the translations. That scene with Suou just melted my heart <3 I really hope Taichi beats Arata and gets to play with Suou. ayumiakimoto: Really! MAL will delete all our discussions?! That's so sad! stilldoll: HIIII still doll chan! So glad you dropped in. It’s so nice seeing all the TAT members dropping back in! ravenanne: Hehehe! I’m so glad I have more people with me on the Taichi being Meijin ship Even though I at one point had wanted Taichi’s love to be returned by Chihaya badly, as I read the manga more and more, Taichi’s struggles to become his own person became the primary focus. The boy who was told to give up things he couldn’t win in – wouldn’t it be amaaaazing if he became the next Meijin <3 I can’t wait!! I wouldn’t mind if Chihaya and Taichi eventually end up together, but there is a chasm between them that needs to be fixed. While I hope Taichi apologizes to her about the unwanted kiss, I hope in terms of romance, Chihaya will be the one to do the chasing. On the other hand, sometimes Taichi’s love for Chihaya seems to bring out his worst demons, so I don’t mind an ending where he becomes the Meijin and eventually gets over Chihaya. I want him to love karuta for karuta, and not simply because of Chihaya. P.S. – I did message Kat chan, and am trying to convince her to come back

So now i am in a greedy league and want Taichi to win both: a match vs Arata and Chihaya's love B)))))) I think that Taichi will win the second match. Actually, I guess Taichi wasn't playing at full velocity against Arata. He just watched detachedly on Arata and used some tricks and countermines (and his advantage in hearing too). But Taichi didn't use feints and, in addition, his tricks looks like situational for me. He did all this only for being noticed by Arata and (probably) in order to mess with Arata. But if he focus on win then he will definetly will win. Maybe Taichi should focus on win in a strange manner, like "hold dear by not holding dear". Like Suo's attitude toward his aunt. Or like Taichi's attitude toward "Chiha" card in his game with Sudo. I guess Suo's words about winning and losing means something same. You should focus on it but "not focus'. I guess I shoud describe it in much more details but my lack in English doesn't forbids it >__< About Chihaya's love: I don't think that Arata actually has some chances right now. Sudo has more chances tham Arata. Even Hyoro has more chances than Arata. Arata and Chihaya are too different. But I don't care about romantic line in this manga anymore. I can't imagine both boys with Chihaya. Chihaya's fire will die out with Arata and Chihaya with Taichi... I don't know. Chihaya too childish and she doesn't understand Taichi at all.

Hey guys! Happy to see you here! I occasionally lurked on the MAL and was hoping to maybe read all the missed discussions one day but I guess it will not happen anymore *I will just quickly add my few cents and go back into hiding, hehe* 1. Taichi won and I'm so happy for him! I was always pretty sure that he has more supporters in the Japanese fandom than Arata, but after MAL disappeared and I tried to find any clues on where our little TAT company may be at I searched in various places, including Facebook and comments sections on Manga sites and I actually saw more Arata fans there. SO I thought, "strange, so many Arata fans and not much about Taichi" Like, where are Taichi fans at all, do we still exist? But now that the poll results came out, I guess we just like to be silent in other places than this thread, lol. Also, Chihaya's score is so embarrassing and sad. I saw people say that the Japanese fans were surprised too and that they just voted for the boys and expected others to vote for Chihaya. But that's the problem. If they really cared and wanted to support Chihaya with passion, they would vote for her too - as far as I know, there wasn't a limit in voting, was there? But the absolute majority thought "whatever, someone will vote" and this is the result we got. I hope it will urge mangaka to take her development more seriously... 2. ABout the 200th chapter: I do think that there is a symbolism, and even if Taichi showed Chihaya this card as a "look I got a one-syllable" it doesn't mean that mangaka herself doesn't put a deeper meaning in the situation. I don't think that the whole flowers and big panel with the card so clear is meaningless. So. I can't suggest any analysis, but here are things I noticed: 1) The Spider lily flowers that were used in Taichi's previous tankobon were used in this chapter. But now for Chihaya, I guess, because they appeared first in her solo panel and then in that spread with Taichi, but it was from her POV there, wasn't it? 2) I'm not sure why you guys decided that Chihaya is the waves in the 18th poem, I think mangaka might be just continuing the picture from the Taichi's confession (sorry, I forgot the numbers for chapters -_-). There Taichi's love/romantic passion was compared to the waves that crashed on Chihaya like on a rock. In poem #18 the visual picture is similar - the waves keep crashing on a shore. Maybe the mood is not as fierce as before, but like, they still keep crashing and coming. 3) I also think that what Ooe-san is talking about ( I guess about Hyakunin Isshi or at least that Period) and those pictures of ladies weeping might add to the symbolism because it really reminds me the weeping Chihaya from those post-confession chapters, and after she's done talking and the mothers stare at her, mangaka takes us back to Chihaya, so... might be connected. That's all, hehe. Spider lily + waves crashing on the shore + a weeping lady. I have no idea what it means, but I do think mangaka might be drawing a parallel with the confession and post-confession chapters. No idea why though. Also, I wonder why spider lily is kinda "with" Chihaya now? Is it her turn to get dead and reborn now? When Taichi got spider lily, he lost in what mattered the most to him at that time - in love, getting rejected. For Chihaya what matters the most now is karuta... Is she actually going to lose? I mean what if she loses and then something happens with Momo and Chihaya gets a chance to play Shinobu instead of her? Do rules allow that? Also, speaking of parallels... Taichi lost in love and focused on karuta, so what if Chihaya loses in karuta and focuses on love? ? Or at least on studying and growing up, lol. Well, one can dream :'D 3. I'm still in the Taichi winning the Meijin title league! I really hope he wins against Arata and then against Suou. Also, I don't really care whether Taichi ends up with Chihaya or not because her development right now is meh and I think they are on totally different levels right now. There's a lot of catching up that needs to happen and it's all on Chihaya and Chihaya is not interested, so I enjoy more when Taichi spends time with Suou ^^ and Suou is so cute not willing to accept that he thinks of Taichi as a student, hh I think that's all. Love you all! *back to into hiding mode*

Hi Amina chan Nice to see you pop back in! In the illustration accompanying the poem in Mostow's books, there were pine trees in the shore line, that's why I thought the author was yet again comparing Chihaya to the waves. Chihaya compares herself to the waves in the confession chapter, so I thought Suetsugu was yet again continuing this imagery. Taichi has also been compared to the moon by Kana chan (which is fitting with him having a hidden side and an illuminated side) and after the confession arc, the closet shipper in me thought Taichi (the moon) could be causing the tides in Chihaya (the waves). Ah, so much more to say, but I'm late for work! Talk to you later Amina chan. Hope you drop in from time to time from our hiding mode

Wasn't Chihaya comparing herself to rock in chapter 139 (after the confession)? --- As for who'll become meijin, I think it'll be Arata since Taichi doesn't even have desire to become meijin in the first place (Arata literally stated his goal to become meijin in one of the chapters leading up to this match). The fact that Taichi already told Arata of his request for Suou kind of make me think Arata'll ask it in Taichi's place. Still hoping for Taichihaya end.
